Another New Year, more challenges and interesting people to meet. Some people dread January after all the fun of the festive season. Not us though. We’re looking forward to a great 2012! I disagree with all the doom mongers (mostly on the BBC news), far too depressing. If you look at things properly, (without the panic factor constantly instilled by over-dramatic journalists) then things could actually could be viewed as positive. For example, low interest rates, people are having to work hard again (nothing wrong with that) and make a bit of an effort, while the technology at our fingertips is making everything and anything possible. Now should be the best moment ever to go and do something new, creative and innovative. Even small enterprises (like ours) have it all within our reach. While companies slash their marketing and PR budgets, others play it smarter and take advantage of the dodgy trading climate. A few brains is all that’s needed to make something positive out of the current situation. And most of us can afford to do that.

There’s no point buying into the desperate doom, depression and madness out there. Stay calm, get creative, see your friends and appreciate what we have got going for us. The rest…well there’s simply no point freaking out. We can’t do much about the state of the Euro, the politicians or the weather. Play 2012 clever. Use ideas, play it smart and make a bigger effort. Well that’s what we plan to do. Roll on 2012, bring it on.
